Job summary

Howard University seeks a Sponsored Programs Billing & Reporting Analyst to manage the end-to-end cash management, invoicing, LOC drawdowns, and financial reporting for sponsored awards. Reporting to the Billing and Reporting Manager, this role ensures timely, accurate billing, maximizing reimbursements while maintaining audit-ready documentation.

The position collaborates with Treasury, post-award leadership, and departments to ensure compliance with federal regulations and sponsor terms,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in sponsored program accounting, billing, drawdowns, or financial reporting.
• Experience with PMS, ASAP, G5, and other federal LOC platforms.
• Familiarity with Workday and Cayuse desirable.
• Strong documentation and financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices for grants and contracts per sponsor terms and deadlines.
• Submit financial reports (interim, annual, final) per sponsor terms and regulations.
• Monitor deadlines and manage the reporting calendar for timely submissions.
• Reconcile LOC drawdowns to Workday expenditure data.
• Coordinate with Treasury on cash receipts and reconciliations.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and central repository of invoices.
