Job summary

A New Leaf is seeking a Grants & Receivables Accountant to manage grant billing, reimbursements, accounts receivable, and compliance. The role ensures accurate revenue recognition, timely collections, and financial reporting in alignment with grant requirements.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (up to two remote days weekly after the 90‑day intro period) and a salary of $65,000 per year. Reports to the Controller and supports leadership, auditors, and funders.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of accounting, grants administration, accounts receivable, reimbursement, or related finance role.
• Experience with grant billings, reimbursement requests, AR, payment reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of grant compliance, contract management, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit grant billings, invoices, reimbursement requests, drawdowns, and documentation.
• Review grant agreements to identify billing requirements, deadlines, and compliance obligations.
• Monitor grant expenditures and budgets to ensure accuracy and funding limits.
• Maintain grant billing logs, tracking records, and the grant tracking system.
• Collaborate with program staff to ensure expenses meet funding requirements.
• Manage accounts receivable for grants and other funding sources.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on unpaid reimbursements.
• Reconcile payments and research discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, revenue reports, and financial analyses.
• Assist with audits and funder site visits.
