Proudworks seeks an Accountant for a part-time hybrid role, combining onsite and remote work, with duties during standard business hours and month-end/year-end close, audits, and board meetings as needed.

Under supervision of the Accounting Manager, you’ll support general ledger, accounts receivable (primary focus), accounts payable, and reporting, ensuring segregation of duties and GAAP compliance for nonprofit programs.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent education and experience (3+ years preferred).
• Experience with GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and grant accounting preferred.
• Experience with AR, journal entries, reconciliations, GL maintenance, and financial reporting.

Mansioni

• Monitor receivables, aging reports, collections, and billing discrepancies; reconcile AR to GL.
• Reconcile Medicaid reimbursements, program revenue, grants, contracts with billing records.
• Perform month-end and year-end close duties including entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Review and record AP/AR transactions; investigate variances and resolve.
• Prepare payroll and benefit journal entries; reconcile fixed assets and suggest adjustments.
• Assist with financial statements, budgets, variance analyses, and cash-flow forecasts.
• Maintain grant documentation, monitor restricted funds, and assist with required fund reports.
• Maintain audit-ready records; respond to audit inquiries and implement improvements.
• Follow internal controls and reporting procedures; maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure accurate reporting and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
• Provide backup support for financial reporting and attend Finance Committee or Board meetings when requested.
