Job summary

Family & Children\'s Services Career Center is seeking a Grant Accountant to support the financial administration of grants and contracts from federal, state, local, and private sources. The role focuses on accurate invoicing, reports, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.

The position collaborates with program staff, funding agencies, and the finance team to monitor expenditures, reconcile accounts, and maintain grant documentation for audits and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grant administration principles, funding requirements, and financial stewardship practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, interpret, and evaluate financial and programmatic data.
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly grant invoices, reimbursement requests, and required financial reports for assigned grants and contracts.
• Review grant agreements and contract language to apply funding requirements to billing and reporting processes.
• Monitor grant expenditures and budget activity to ensure compliance with funding requirements and approved budgets.
• Reconcile billed amounts, grant revenues, and receivable balances to accounting records and approved grant budgets.
• Assist with grant-related audits, funding agency reviews, and requests for financial information.
