Job summary

Citi is seeking a Grants Associate to support the Citi Foundation and the Community Investing and Development Operations team in New York. The role focuses on information and reporting system management and efficient processing of Citi Foundation grants.

Reporting to the SVP, Grants Management, this position requires strong data analysis, exceptional organization, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to improve grant operations and reporting quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in philanthropy, CSR, or related field, or equivalent in another fast-paced admin role.
• Experience with Fluxx or similar grants management software, preferably as an administrator.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; customer service mindset.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot inquiries with staff and problem-solve.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; proficient in MS Office.
• Team player with an entrepreneurial, solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage information and reporting systems for Citi Foundation grants.
• Process and oversee Citi Foundation grants; ensure accurate data capture and reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree + 3+ years of related work experience in philanthropy, CSR, or related field, or in a financial, operational, or similar administrative role in a high-volume, fast-paced, audit-ready environment

Job description

The Grants Associate is a key member of the Community Investing and Development (CID) Operations and Business Management team, primarily supporting the Citi Foundation. The CID group works to enhance Citi’s positive social impact through strategic philanthropy, equity investing, and innovative financial solutions. The Foundation works to promote economic progress and improve the lives of people in low-income communities around the world. Reporting to the SVP, Grants Management, the Associate will have specific responsibility for information and reporting system management, as well as the processing and management of Citi Foundation grants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, and 3+ years of related work experience in philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, or related field, or in a financial, operational, or similar administrative role in a high-volume, fast-paced, audit-ready environment
• Experience with Fluxx or other grants management software, ideally as an administrator
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize and multi-task
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; customer service mindset
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Able to work with staff to problem solve and troubleshoot general inquiries
• Outstanding problem solving and analytic capabilities; skilled at analyzing, interpreting, and using data to collaborate, identify best practices and areas for improvement, and drive results
• Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new software programs. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills are preferred.
