Job summary

A high school diploma/GED and three years of bookkeeping experience required.
Experience in higher education or non-profit setting preferred.
Understanding of grant/contract management, sales tax regulations and fund accounting principles preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the daily and yearly general university entries in the finance system to include cash receipts, cash disbursements, bank transfers and journal entries.
Monthly bank reconciliations for various bank accounts and ensuring timely and accurate reporting and payment of university sales tax accounts.
Monthly monitoring and preparation of transfers between various loan fund accounts ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
Tracking time and effort reporting for grant and contract accounts.
Distribute space surveys and update building system data to facilitate indirect cost rate negotiations.
Work closely with other members of the accounting team and assist other departments with accounting related questions and assist with other duties as assigned.
