Qualified Staffing is hiring a temporary Accountant for our client in Macon, GA. The position focuses on general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and accurate reconciliations to support timely financial reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and at least 1 year of GL experience, with government experience preferred. Competitive hourly pay and standard weekday hours are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 1 year of general ledger accounting experience.
• Government experience preferred.
• Experience with fund allocation and reconciliation.
• Experience with governmental reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the general ledger, posts entries, and prepares monthly journal vouchers.
• Performs account reconciliations and handles complex transactions.
• Conducts monthly bank and investment reconciliations and posts adjusting entries.
• Prepares reporting requests for governmental and external agencies.
• Assists auditors by providing data and reports for audits.
• Performs analysis of general ledger accounts.
• Reviews selected disbursements for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains effective working relationships with departments and the public.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
