The West Virginia Department of Health seeks an Accountant to perform advanced-level accounting, auditing, and financial management duties for the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). You will ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and monitor subrecipient stewardship, grants, and CMS reporting.

Role requires deep knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), budget tracking, and financial risk assessment, with a focus on preventing cost overruns and ensuring funds are obligated or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of advanced professional accounting or auditing experience; federal grants, subrecipient awards, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) experience preferred.
• Deep familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), computerized accounting applications, Excel, and administrative structures.

Responsabilités

• Federal Grant Oversight & Subrecipient Monitoring: manage financial administration, tracking, and compliance of federal grants and subrecipient awards.
• OSA Collaboration: budget tracking, CMS reporting, and statutory cap tracking and reporting.
• CFR 200 Compliance & Auditing: apply Uniform Guidance to evaluate financial records and conduct audits.
