- Manage expenditure deadlines by monitoring tight CMS timelines, ensuring funds from a budget period are completely spent or obligated by the end of the subsequent fiscal year to avoid federal recovery.
- Jointly prepare quarterly and annual financial progress reports, comprehensive annual Federal Financial Reports (FFR), and ensure accurate Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) tracking for all subawards exceeding $30,000.
CFR 200 Compliance & Auditing
- Apply deep knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) to evaluate financial records for completeness and accuracy.
- Plan, write, and execute comprehensive audit programs, including testing accounting records, general vouchers, and related reconciliations.
- Ensure all funding activities comply with state and federal laws, as well as national accounting and auditing standards.
- Prepare and review highly complex expense, revenue, variance, and reconciliation reports.
- Maintain ledgers, profit and loss statements, and supporting financial documents.
- Formulate suggested improvements or structural solutions for complex administrative and technical problems.
- Review audit reports and financial statements to evaluate financial positions and operational results.
- Assist program staff in understanding departmental procedures, federal funding mechanics, and subrecipient compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: 3–5 years of advanced professional accounting or auditing experience is required. Direct experience working with federal grants, subrecipient awards, and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) is required. Direct experience in financial monitoring and compliance frameworks is highly preferred.
