Vaco is hiring for a Grants Accountant opportunity in Cleveland OH. Direct Hire, Onsite. The Accountant manages accounting and compliance for grants, pledges, restricted gifts, specific-purpose funds, and charitable gift annuities.

The role also supports debt and interest tracking, endowment/investment administration, and serves as a Finance liaison to Development/Philanthropy. Provides backup support for AP, AR, vendor management, and tax processes.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-4+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit/grants experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Blackbaud/CRM and accounting software; advanced Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain grant records, receivables, deferred revenue, and audit schedules.
• Review grant expenses for proper coding and compliance.
• Maintain pledge schedules, cash flows, and monthly gift/pledge reconciliations.
• Classify gifts and monitor donor-restricted funds.
• Track releases from restrictions and prepare supporting docs.
• Reconcile debt interest and amortization schedules.
• Process charitable gift annuity activity and related FASB adjustments.
• Assist with endowment/investment activities and finance backups.
