Job summary

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) seeks an Accountant/Administrative Assistant to support the corporate department, handling full accounting from basic entries to external audits with monthly, quarterly and annual requirements.

Locations include River Falls, WI and Madison, WI, among others; strong QuickBooks and MS Office skills are essential, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 2 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field.
• At least two years of related experience in Accounting.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and MS Suite.
• Highly detail oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintaining financial records and ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded in QuickBooks.
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
• Preparing, pulling, and tracking the Dept of Labor drawdowns.
• Creating and maintaining budgets for all grants.
• Handle corporate and operational audits with DOL.
• Payroll and HR-related items.
• Stay up to date on state and local tax laws.
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• The ability to multitask and prioritize projects by importance or deadlines.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
