Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in communication, English, professional writing, or similar major.
• Minimum of four years' related grant writing experience.
• Ability to independently manage multiple grant applications and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication, grammar, research, and multitasking skills.
• Proficient with computers and data collection; travel requires a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead role in securing and sustaining funding from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funders.
• Conduct comprehensive research to identify funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
• Develop and write government grant proposals, contracts, and narratives with persuasive, technical writing.
• Coordinate attachments and ensure timely submission of grant applications.
• Manage grant and contract applications: timelines, tasks, and cross-department contributions.
• Review and edit proposals to ensure compliance with funder instructions and scoring criteria.
• Collaborate with program, finance, and admin staff on budgets, timelines, and supporting materials.
• Maintain organized grant records for audit readiness.
