Job summary

Family First, Inc. is seeking a grant writer to lead our grant-seeking efforts within a collaborative, fast-paced nonprofit environment in Tampa.

The role reports to the director of development and drives funding strategies for foundations, grants, planned giving, and overall development initiatives. You will research opportunities, maintain grant templates, manage submission processes, and produce tracking reports for leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in nonprofit development with demonstrated success in grant writing and planned giving management.
• Experience with a foundation research tool and a donor/contact management system (HubSpot and Candid preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission.
• Stay informed on grant industry trends and philanthropic developments.
• Create and maintain a repository of grant proposal templates and supporting docs.
• Manage all aspects of the grant submission process from gathering information to writing, editing, and tracking outcomes.
• Provide tracking and reporting for granted funds and deliverables, and coordinate with donors for planned giving campaigns.
• Support matching gift campaigns and other development tasks as directed by leadership.
