Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese in Houston, TX seeks a Grant Writer to oversee writing, editing, and submission of foundation, corporate, and government grant applications and reports. You will manage grant tracking, work with program staff, and research new funding opportunities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, at least two years of professional writing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of cumulative professional writing experience preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Grant writing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead writing, editing, and submission of foundation and corporate grant applications and reports.
• Maintain portfolio of active grants with the Director and Manager, Fund Development.
• Research and identify new funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and others.
• Coordinate with program staff to gather data and attachments for proposals.
• Assist in developing budgets for grant applications.
• Manage accounts and access for grant portals in line with security policies.
• Record grant activities in Instrumentl, Raiser's Edge, and keep hard-copy files.
• Maintain digital grant records on the department drive.
• Attend grant meetings and share key findings with the grants team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
