Job summary

PTSD Foundation of America seeks a Grant Writer in Houston, TX. The role supports fundraising by researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals and related materials under the Grant Manager. In-office position with no remote work.

You will gather program data, outcomes, and documentation, coordinate with departments, and help manage deadlines for competitive applications and reporting requirements. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of grant writing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Creative Writing, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of professional grant writing experience with demonstrated success in preparing and submitting grant proposals.
• Ability to interpret and analyze programmatic and financial information for proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities from government, corporate, foundation, and private sources.
• Compile, write, edit, and submit grant proposals, LOIs, applications, and supporting materials.
• Draft clear, compelling narratives for grant submissions and fundraising materials.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather programmatic data, outcomes, budgets, and documentation.
• Maintain organized grant files, proposal calendars, submission deadlines, and records.
