Job description

This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon grant funding.

Reports to the Director of the Veterans Upward Bound Program at Texas State University. The Grant Specialist assists with promoting educational achievement and the pursuit of post- secondary education enrollment for program participants.

Assists the Project Director and Project Coordinator with activities and services. Provides academic, college, career, financial aid advising, and other individual technical assistance to Participants to promote college enrollment, and degree attainment.

The Specialist is also responsible for assisting with recruitment and monitoring progress toward the accomplishment of program objectives.

Position located in San Marcos with frequent travel to the target areas (Waco, Killeen, Round Rock, Austin, San Antonio). Evening and weekend work may be required.
