Texas State University seeks a Part-Time Grant Coordinator for the Talent Search Del Valle program. This role supports 6th–12th grade participants with academic advising, college readiness, and financial aid guidance. Responsibilities include developing programs, coordinating tutoring, and maintaining participant records.

Based in Del Valle, TX with occasional travel to the San Marcos campus. Evening/weekend work may be required, and the position is grant-funded with reporting duties to the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in education, counseling, social work, psychology, public administration, or related field.
• Direct experience in providing academic support, advising, college application assistance, career exploration, financial aid guidance for students.
• Experience managing small to mid-sized budgets, supervising student staff or tutors, and maintaining participant records.
• Experience developing programs, events, and workshops for students.
• Experience advising secondary school students (grades 6-12) on college, career, financial aid, and exploration.
• Effective writing and speaking skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office and databases.

Responsabilités

• Assist with project recruitment and annual needs assessments.
• Develop and implement co-curricular programming for students and parents.
• Oversee tutoring schedules and ensure utilization of tutoring services.
• Monitor participant progress and reporting on personal growth and academics.
• Provide college admission and financial aid information to participants.
• Maintain participant files and ensure accurate data in the student database.
• Support pre/post evaluations and participate in annual performance reporting.
• Develop outreach networks within target area communities and schools.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and other duties as assigned.
