Job summary

The University of the Incarnate Word is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Artful Worship Grant to provide full-time coordination and operational leadership for a Lilly Endowment initiative exploring how literature, music, visual art, storytelling, and creativity nurture children’s faith.

The role reports to the Program Director, Artful Worship, and is primarily based on campus with a limited hybrid option after six months.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn Google Workspace and Canva for project activities.
• Experience coordinating grants or programs in higher education or nonprofit settings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Artful Worship grant.
• Plan grant-sponsored programming, events, speakers, and logistics.
• Maintain records, timelines, calendars, and systems.
• Prepare grant reports in collaboration with the Project Director.
• Support grant administration including budgeting and compliance.
• Liaise with University offices, faculty, students, and partners.
• Coordinate communications, newsletters, website content, and materials.
• Coordinate project assessments and evaluation activities.
• Travel as needed to partner sites and events.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate student staff.
