Job summary

The Grant Manager (PRO Housing) position is a full-time contract with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of Policy, Strategy, and Research. It oversees the HUD PRO Housing FY24 grant, including a competitive subgrant program and required reporting.

The role requires coordinating with HUD staff, state agencies, and local jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and quality control across Maryland.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; six years of admin or professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in humanities, social sciences, public policy, public administration or related field (preferred).
• Grant or other technical writing experience (preferred).
• Experience managing programs or budgets over $100,000 (preferred).
• Experience working within local, state, or federal government (preferred).
• Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license if assigned vehicle operation duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HUD PRO Housing FY24 grant activities and reporting.
• Coordinate a competitive subgrant program for local jurisdictions.
• Implement quality control standards for grant activities.
• Engage HUD staff, other state agencies, and local officials across Maryland.
