Job summary

The Camden City School District is seeking a highly organized full-time Program Assistant to support the implementation, coordination, documentation, and administrative functions of the U.S. Department of Education School-Based Mental Health Grant.

Under the SBMH Grant Project Manager, the Program Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure activities are organized, documented, and aligned with grant requirements, district procedures, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience providing administrative, program, school, nonprofit, grant, or project support preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, email, and other office tech.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day coordination and implementation of SBMH grant activities.
  • Support the Grant Project Director in achieving grant objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain organized records related to grant activities, expenditures, and meetings.
  • Monitor grant timelines and communicate deadlines to staff.
  • Prepare documentation to demonstrate progress toward goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
  • Maintain calendars for grant activities and staff communications.
  • Assist with communications between district staff, providers, and partners.
