Job summary

United Trading Group in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Part-Time Grant Specialist I to support the Early Childhood Utah program. The role is hybrid, with up to 20 hours weekly: 12 hours in the office on Monday and Tuesday and the remaining hours remote Wednesday through Friday.

You will check receipts and invoices, meet with contractors and grantees, draft reports, maintain files, monitor documentation, and communicate issues to the program manager.

Qualifications

• Basic accounting skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills without the use of AI.
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills; flexible and a team player.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication; able to read and understand information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to use automated software applications.

Responsibilities

• Check receipts and invoices for allowable expenses.
• Meet with contractors and grantees to clarify billing issues and review reports.
• Draft reports for supervisor review.
• Maintain and create orderly files and record-keeping systems.
• Monitor and track documentation to ensure timelines are met.
• Identify and communicate critical issues to the program manager and team.
• Support the Early Childhood Utah Program.
