Job summary

Fort Worth ISD invites applications for a Teacher Assistant I – Grant Funded position in Fort Worth, TX. Under direct supervision of a certified staff member, you will help students meet reading, language arts, math, science and computer instruction goals while freeing teachers for other responsibilities.

You will work with students individually and in small groups, assist with classroom activities and assessments, support inclusion and IEP objectives, supervise lunchtime and field trips, and

Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide certificate required.
• Experience with children and/or parents preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist with administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
• Support inclusion and IEP objectives.
• Assist in classroom supervision during lunch, field trips, and study hall.
