Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a Teacher Assistant I to support certified staff in classrooms and help students meet instructional goals. Under supervision, you will reinforce reading, writing, and math, work with individuals and small groups, and assist with assessments and material preparation.

You will support students with diverse needs, participate in IEP processes where needed, and help maintain a safe, organized learning environment. Employment typically involves standard duty days.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; Educational Aide Certificate required.
• Title I: Associates degree or 48 college hours, or ParaEducator Training with 75+ score.
• Certification: Educational Aide Certificate needed.
• Experience: Some experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional staff in reinforcing reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and support strategies aligned with student needs.
• Assist students with disabilities to promote inclusion and IEP objectives.
• Support classroom safety and behavior management.
