Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking Teacher Residents who will provide instructional assistance in classrooms under the supervision of Certified Teachers. Applicants must hold a High School diploma and be enrolled in an approved Teacher Education Program. Duties include supporting classroom lessons, assisting with student learning, and participating in special education processes. This is a grant-funded position with a focus on inclusion and diverse learning environments.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be accepted in a Teacher Education Program with a FWISD approved university.
• Experience in tutoring or teaching is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance to students under supervision.
• Support classroom instruction, lesson planning, and development of student intervention plans.
• Assist with record-keeping and documentation of student learning.

Skills

Knowledge of instructing, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics

Ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Education

Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency

Accepted and enrolled in a Teacher Education Program
