Paul D. Camp Community College in Franklin and Suffolk seeks a 10-month Nursing Faculty member.

This grant-funded, restricted position will teach, coordinate clinical instruction, advise students, and engage in scholarly activities while developing community partnerships and supporting program growth. Responsibilities include curriculum planning, assessment, and coordinating with clinical partners to ensure NCLEX NextGen alignment, with duties extending to service and collegial collaboration;

Formación

• Master’s Degree in nursing.
• Two years of clinical experience in nursing.
• A valid, active, unencumbered Registered Nursing License in Virginia or Compact State.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with a diverse population of faculty, staff, students and other college stakeholders.
• Experience with schedules - preparing, assigning time, and confirmation.
• Must be able to meet all clinical partner requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to and support activities aligned with the mission, goals, and initiatives of the College and Program.
• Maintain expertise in the teaching discipline through ongoing professional development, scholarly activities, research, publications, and participation in professional organizations and conferences.
• Participate actively in program, departmental, and college committees, initiatives, and sponsored events.
• Support student recruitment, retention, and overall college growth through formal and informal engagement activities.
• Demonstrate commitment to student success through course assessment, continuous quality improvement, and alignment with program and student learning outcomes.
• Promote community engagement and public service activities that support the well-being of individuals and communities at the local, state, and national levels.
• Meet regularly with the dean to communicate program activities, progress, and areas of responsibility.
• Serve as a leader and collaborative member of faculty work teams within the program.
