Job summary

Butler County Community College (BC3) is seeking a nine-month full-time Nursing Instructor in the Nursing and Allied Health Division at BC3 @ Brockway, starting Fall 2026. This temporary grant-funded position will continue as long as grant funds are available.

The instructor will teach introductory and advanced medical-surgical nursing contents in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical settings, with opportunities to teach maternity, pediatric, or psychiatric nursing depending on expertise.

Qualifications

• Three years of current medical-surgical clinical practice in an acute care setting.
• Experience teaching nursing theory and skills in classroom and clinical settings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced medical-surgical nursing content in classroom, skills lab, and clinical settings.
• Possibly teach maternity, pediatric, or psychiatric nursing content based on qualifications.
• Advise and recruit students; contribute to curriculum development and accreditation activities.
• Promote student retention and participate in college committee work.
