Job summary

San Jacinto College seeks a Coordinator for the HGAC AEL Grant at the Central Campus to support literacy education outreach across the district. The role emphasizes data management, reporting, scheduling, and translation services to serve diverse learners.

You will maintain records, coordinate instructor assignments, assist with assessment and testing provisions, and help recruit and support off-campus program sites while ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 3 years of related experience (in addition to required experience).
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related area.

Responsibilities

• Extend literacy education training to community members throughout the district.
• Accurate data entry in multiple databases.
• Monitor data collection and prepare reports for regulatory and internal use.
• Maintain course schedules, student calendars, and instructor assignments.
• Maintain auditable documentation of lesson plans and participation.
• Collect and audit timesheets for instructors and project personnel.
• Acquire certification in assessment for student progress in literacy.
• Maintain accuracy in testing to meet state requirements.
• Log instructor hours and student attendance.
• Assist with development of forms and Distance Learning activities.
• Provide general filing and customer service.
• Coordinate document processing and translation services for intake and testing events.
• Participate in recruitment and outreach for off-campus sites.
