Job summary

Lone Star College-University Center at The Woodlands seeks a Manager, Advising Adult Education and Literacy to develop and manage grant-funded AEL programs across multiple sites, including GED and ESL, and to lead partnerships with local schools and workforce partners.

The role oversees data reporting, curriculum development, and program evaluation to meet state mandates, with a focus on successful adult transitions to post-secondary education.

• Excellent skills in computer and database applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise collection, input and timely reporting of student and staff data into TEAMS database.
• Plan and develop courses and curriculum for the program.
• Keeps informed of major trends in Adult Education training.
• Develop long-range yearly activity planning to meet state measures.
• Create and implement course schedules aligned with student needs and hours.
• Use data to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Recruit, hire and supervise adjunct faculty/instructors in AEL Continuing Education.
• Prepare monthly reports for the Director of Adult Education & Literacy Grant.
