Job summary

Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College seeks an Analyst in Institutional Research (grant funded) to conduct research studies, prepare analytical reports, and fulfill information requests from federal and state government and other agencies. Grant funded through 9/30/28.

Responsibilities include developing research, organizing and analyzing institutional data, presenting findings, delivering presentations, and supporting planning and accreditation efforts. Work hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, statistics or a social sciences field.
• Three years of full-time or equivalent work experience in a position involving complex data analysis.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent experience analyzing and compiling interpretive reports based on institutional and external data sources.
• Experience in presenting information and data analysis in a concise, logical and understandable format.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing, administering, and conducting research and evaluation studies; writes reports associated with these studies.
• Organizes, compiles, analyzes, interprets, and presents institutional data related to allocation of resources, staffing, and learning/program outcomes.
• Analyzes data, writes reports, and prepares recommendations regarding program development, instruction, policy, development, and strategic planning; provides data to planning units as requested.
• Creates standard reports for items on the Office’s Research Agenda and other reports as needed to improve institutional effectiveness planning.
• Fulfills ad-hoc data requests and reporting requirements.
• Prepares and delivers written and oral presentations summarizing research data, findings, and recommendations.
• Analyzes information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Develops questionnaires, web-based surveys and sampling strategies designed to produce reliable data.
• Applies knowledge of complex mathematical and statistical computations to produce quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Effectively interacts with college community and external constituencies.
• Serves on standing committees as needed.
• Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
