Milwaukee Area Technical College is seeking an AEFL Programs coordinator to support Adult Education & Family Literacy initiatives. The role involves assisting students, faculty, and staff, coordinating academic and tutorial support, and participating in recruitment and retention activities.

The position is 100% in-person, up to 19 hours per week, based in West Allis and Walker’s Square, Wisconsin. Grant funding is through 6/30/2027 with start date as soon as possible.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with emphasis in Higher Education, Education Administration, Adult Education or Curriculum and Instruction or related field.
• At least three total years of relevant experience*.
• Bilingual fluency (Spanish and English) — test may be given.
• Master’s degree or higher in Higher Education, Education Administration, or related field AND five or more years of relevant experience*.

Responsabilidades

• Provides course placement, monitor grade level gains, case management for referrals and transitions to post-secondary or job placement.
• Advises students on enrollment, program requirements, financial aid, and registration; informs about course availability and changes.
• Coordinated tutoring and instructional support; distributes resource information for Basic Skills at CBO sites.
• Compiles and submits center progress reports; completes reporting to meet grant requirements.
• Maintains records and ensures delivery of excellent customer service to students and staff.
