Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College is seeking a Student Services Specialist to support recruitment, enrollment, testing, and retention across MATC districts. The grant-funded, on-site position focuses on advising students, coordinating community-based outreach, and delivering excellent service to diverse populations.

The ideal candidate will have at least a 2-year degree and 3+ years of related experience, with strong knowledge of admissions and enrollment processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Education, Behavioral Sciences, Business, or Marketing.
• At least three years of related experience.
• Must pass CRC background check if offered.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Behavioral Sciences, Business, or Marketing with 1+ year related experience.
• Knowledge of admissions and enrollment procedures.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on academic decisions and career development.
• Assist with recruitment, admissions, testing, and advising at CRC, DRC, and partner sites.
• Ensure excellent customer service in face-to-face, phone, email, and print interactions.
• Collaborate with campus teams to deliver advising and career services.
• Represent MATC at community events and provide campus tours.
• Prepare and maintain student services reports.
