Job summary

CFS in Fresno County is seeking an Accounting Administrator for a hybrid/remote role offering a flexible 30-hour workweek. You will manage general ledger activity, vendor/payroll processing, and grant reporting support while contributing to a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliations.
• Experience tracking grants or supporting grant-funded programs preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activity.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records.
• Monitor grant budgets and track expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Prepare financial information and supporting documentation for grant reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
