Job summary

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (BPHC) seeks a CTL/Grant Fiscal Coordinator to manage grant budgets and financial reporting. The role supports PIs, prepares budgets and justifications, and ensures compliance with City, State, and Federal regulations.

Experience with fiscal systems and grant management is preferred. The position offers opportunities for professional growth, a focus on public health financing, and potential work-from-home days depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 24 accounting credits including advanced accounting and auditing.
• Candidate may also hold NY CPA license for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PIs and stakeholders to develop, prepare, and manage State and Federal grant budgets.
• Prepare line-item budgets, budget justification, and supporting docs for new and continuation grants.
• Monitor grant expenditures and analyze spending trends for variances and under/over-spending.
• Prepare payroll or OTPS journal entries and budget transfers to record expenditures.
• Review financial reports for accuracy and compliance with grant requirements.
• Conduct year-end financial activities including accruals and closeouts.
• Process contract amendments, renewals, and procurement documents; ensure timely payments via PASSPort.
