Job summary

Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Health Program Administrator II in Menands, NY. The role focuses on overseeing fiscal and administrative aspects of large grants within the NYS DOH framework, including budget management and contract oversight.

The position requires a degree (Bachelor’s or Associate with years of experience) and strong skills in grants management, procurement, and reporting, with up to 25% travel. A hybrid onsite/remote schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of admin experience; OR an Associate degree and six years; Master’s may substitute for one year.
• Experience supervising staff and/or program management.
• Experience with complex grants, including budget development and tracking; knowledge of sponsor guidelines.
• MS Word and intermediate to advanced Excel skills required or preferred.
• Experience with electronic federal grant submission and applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all fiscal and administrative aspects of large grant awards.
• Manage budget tracking and reporting on program progress.
• Oversee personnel transactions, contracts, and purchasing processes.
• Develop and implement tracking systems and internal controls.
• Coordinate with NYS DOH and external partners to resolve issues.
