Job summary

The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DACF) is recruiting a Contract/Grant Manager to administer grant and disaster recovery programs, with a primary focus on Maine’s NRDRAP funded through federal support. Remote work options are available subject to management approval.

The role will administer grant agreements, monitor funds, provide technical assistance, and coordinate with federal/state partners.

Qualifications

• This eight-year combination of education and experience is required in procurement support and grant compliance.
• Experience administering state or federal grant programs is preferred.
• Experience with agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, natural resources, disaster recovery, or rural economic development programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer state and federal grant agreements and monitor expenditures, deliverables, and program requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to applicants and awardees; coordinate with partners.
• Review applications, reimbursement requests, and documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Conduct monitoring and due diligence activities, including site visits as needed.
• Maintain program records and reporting systems; collect and analyze data on awards and outcomes.
• Support outreach, grant procedures, and guidance within Agricultural Resource Development.
