Job summary

Center for Disability Services is seeking a Chief Accountant to support the Finance Department by preparing reconciliations and third‑party reports with accuracy and timeliness.

You will gather financial data, report in compliance with grant regulations, and monitor grant expenses monthly to ensure allowability and budget adherence. Collaborate with program staff on budgets for state funding and assist with contract processes including vendor analysis and bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Accounting, Third Party Reporting, or a related field.
• Experience with governmental or grant-related accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather financial and statistical information for reporting to third-party agencies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and grant requirements in reporting.
• Monitor grant expenses monthly to ensure allowability and budget compliance.
• Collaborate with program staff to develop budgets for state agency funding.
• Support contract processes including vendor analysis, spend analysis, bids, and contract preparation for legal review.
