Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida, Inc. seeks a Grant Accountant to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting for assigned grants. You will design billing systems, monitor contracts, and work with Program Managers on budgeting and compliance.

The role supports remote work for Tampa-based employees, with occasional in-office work in the Tampa area. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3–5 years of related experience are required, with nonprofit/government grant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Experience in not-for-profit or government accounting preferred.
• Familiarity with federal and state grants accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GAAP compliance in grant accounting.
• Maintain billing systems and financial reporting for grants.
• Coordinate budgeting and financial reports with Program Managers.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Assist auditors at year-end with schedules and explanations.
