Title: Grant Accountant

The JCC Association of North America is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grant Accountant to join our team and support our mission of building and strengthening Jewish communities across North America. As a Grant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our grants and ensuring compliance with all grant requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of grant accounting, including proposal creation, budgeting, reporting, and final closeout
• Review grant agreements and ensure compliance with all financial and reporting requirements
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor grant spending and provide regular updates to program managers and directors
• Collaborate with program staff to develop and monitor grant budgets, making recommendations for cost-saving measures when necessary
• Conduct financial analysis of grant data and identify potential areas for efficiency and improvement
• Maintain organized and up-to-date grant files and records
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and applications, providing financial information and support as needed
• Participate in audits and assist with the preparation of financial schedules
• Stay informed of changes in grant regulations and requirements, and communicate any updates to relevant staff members
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant accounting, preferably within a non-profit organization
• Strong understanding of grant regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Jewish culture and communities is a plus but not required
