Job summary

Xanterra Travel Collection operates Grand Canyon National Park Lodges and is seeking a Restaurant Operations Manager to lead all aspects of dining room, kitchen, bar and service teams at the Grand Canyon South Rim. The role oversees labor costs, staffing, training and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, full-service setting.

This full-time position offers a $48,000 annual salary with a 40-hour week, weekend and holiday coverage, plus housing options and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• 4 years salaried management experience in multi-unit dining establishments.
• Beer, liquor and wine knowledge is a must.
• Experience managing the financial aspects of a restaurant.
• Ability to train and evaluate staff performance in a full-service restaurant.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive employee engagement.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to pass ServeSafe Manager course and TIPS training within 90 days.
• Competency using Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience with computerized POS systems.
• Excellent verbal communication with a broad cross-section of guests, employees and clients.
• Leadership skills that promote engagement and retention.
• Basic accounting skills for labor budgets, sales and costs of services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional operation with the Kitchen Manager and Assistant.
• Manage labor costs in line with the financial plan and events.
• Oversee dining room and Arizona Steakhouse service for high-quality operations.
• Coordinate training programs for servers, bussers, hosts, cashiers and bartenders.
• Collaborate with managers on promotions and staff development.
• Approve annual reviews and performance plans for staff.
• Ensure safety, risk management and sanitation standards are met.
