Job summary

Xanterra Travel Collection seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager at Grand Canyon South Rim to lead all restaurant operations, supervise staff, and ensure guest satisfaction.

You will oversee dining room, kitchen, bar, and events, while managing labor, scheduling, and guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. Competitive pay and housing options are provided in the Grand Canyon area.

Qualifications

• 4 years salaried management experience in multi-unit dining establishments.
• Experience with all front-of-house positions and service situations.
• Beer, liquor and wine knowledge required.
• Experience managing the financial aspects of a restaurant.
• Ability to train and evaluate staff in a full-service restaurant.
• Able to pass ServeSafe Manager certification and TIPS within 90 days.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to guest satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional operation and plate presentations with Kitchen Manager and Assistant.
• Control labor costs in line with financial plan and events.
• Oversee dining room and Arizona Steakhouse service for high quality guest experience.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage Trainer for comprehensive staff training.
• Assist Managers with promotions and performance reviews.
• Review sanitation and safety standards and ensure compliance.
• Lead shift meetings and communicate specials to staff.
