Job summary

Central Valley Ag in York, Nebraska, is seeking a Grain Specialist in Elgin, IL to originate grain and lead sales in an assigned territory. You will work with the sales and support teams to grow revenue, manage customer relationships, and meet annual goals in line with CVA's vision.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and experience in grain marketing; strong Excel and CRM skills; ability to develop a strategic customer list; and a commitment to safety and integrity while delivering value to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Agriculture, Agribusiness or related field.
• Experience with grain marketing and hedging is preferred.
• Proven record in profitable grain purchasing from farmers and elevators.
• Strong Excel skills; able to learn AgriCharts.

Responsibilities

• Originate grain in accordance with CVA’s policy and risk management tools.
• Develop a customer base through direct contact in an assigned territory.
• Conduct on-farm sales calls and propose whole-farm solutions.
• Educate producers on CVA risk management tools.
• Maintain CRM records of sales and prospecting activities.
• Develop annual business plan with sales manager.
