Job summary

Central Valley Ag is seeking a Grain Specialist in Elgin, NE to originate grain and drive profitable sales within an assigned territory. You will lead direct producer contact, expand the customer base, and coordinate with sales and operations to deliver tailored solutions that meet revenue and service goals.

You will educate producers on risk management tools, maintain accurate CRM records, and collaborate with location managers to promote cross-selling while upholding CVA’s values and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field such as Accounting, Finance, Agriculture, Agribusiness.
• Ability to obtain Series 3 license.
• Experience purchasing grain from farmers/ elevators profitably.
• Strong understanding of grain marketing, hedging, basis analysis.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and use CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Originate grain following policy and risk management principles.
• Develop a customer base through direct producer contact in an assigned territory.
• Conduct on-farm sales calls to identify needs and offer whole-farm solutions.
• Educate producers on CVA risk management tools to mitigate risk.
• Follow grain marketing policy including bids, margins, storage, and settlements.
• Maintain CRM records for all sales activities and follow-ups.
• Develop annual business plan with sales manager to meet goals.
• Communicate effectively with locations and cross-sell across teams.
• Represent CVA with integrity and customer focus.
