Job summary

Garden City Co-Op is seeking a Grain Rail Terminal Location Manager at River Valley Terminal in Holcomb, KS. You will direct operations, supervise staff, manage grain handling, and coordinate railcar loading/unloading to maximize efficiency and service quality.

With a minimum of five years of grain storage experience, you will ensure safety, maintain equipment, and foster teamwork while maintaining standards and cooperative policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grain grading and grain quality.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Comfortable using and adapting to new technology.
• Ability to obtain necessary qualifications required by railroad.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone, text, email, or written documents.
• Maintaining and promoting a positive atmosphere among employees.
• Willingness to be a team-player and help the company.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule employees to facilitate loading or unloading of railcars.
• Direct, promote, and coordinate location operations to optimize efficiency and customer service.
• Conduct required safety training and complete documentation.
• Communicate with Railroad and Grain Inspectors in a positive, professional manner.
• Gain operational knowledge of railroads, equipment, and grain terminal facility.
• Receive and ship grain efficiently using staff and available resources.
• Meet and operate under tight time frames for railcar movements.
