gpac is seeking a Grain Merchandiser to join their team in the grain industry. You will capitalize on marketing opportunities, build relationships with producers in the area, and manage buying, contracting, and selling of various commodities.

The role involves securing a reliable supply of high-quality grains, monitoring markets, and potentially taking on additional duties as the owner's responsibilities evolve. Strong communication and software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience merchandising/originating preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with corn and milo highly preferred.
• Logistics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Capitalize on grain marketing opportunities
• Build relationships with producers throughout the area
• Responsible for buying, contracting and selling various commodities
• Will secure and purchase a reliable supply of high-quality commodities at competitive prices
• Monitor future markets on a regular basis
• Work alongside owner to take over some of his duties
• Possibility of taking over a new location
