Job Requirements
This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring corn and other grains used in ethanol production by identifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring consistent quality and delivery. The position requires monitoring grain market trends, forecasting supply needs, and collaborating closely with operations and finance teams to maintain inventory levels and align procurement strategies with overall business goals. Strong supplier relationship management and the ability to provide market insights and procurement reports to leadership are also key aspects of the role. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or a related field, along with 3–5 years of experience in grain procurement, supply chain management, agriculture, or the ethanol industry. Success in this position requires strong knowledge of commodities markets and grain procurement processes, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. The role also demands flexibility to support a 24/7 operational environment and the ability to collaborate effectively within the organization.
