United Quality Cooperative is seeking a Grain Elevator Operator for Ross, ND. This hands-on role requires learning a variety of tasks related to receiving, storage, drying, blending, and loading grain, with cross-training across responsibilities to support safe work practices and coworker safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 12 months related experience or training (or equivalent), and reliable transportation for 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 12 months related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation and be available for 24/7 shifts.
• Experience with agriculture and farm equipment is preferred, along with mechanical aptitude.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, handle, dry, blend, and load grain.
• Assist in unloading/loading grain by rail and truck.
• Weigh or measure materials and products.
• Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and workstations.
• Monitor conveyor operations and read gauges and indicators.
• Detect equipment malfunctions and report them to Supervisors.
• Load trucks, train hoppers, train cars, and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Keep work areas and facilities clean and safe.
• Provide courteous and responsive customer service.
