Job summary

Columbia Grain International, LLC., a long-established grain company, seeks a Warehouse Operator at our Ross, ND facility. You will record data for receiving, storing, and shipping grain and collaborate with the team to achieve operational goals while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Basic knowledge of working with a computer and mechanical skills.
• Good work ethic (team environment, both safe and quality), efficient and willingness to perform all required work with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment; open and close slide gates to start stop flow of grain.
• Accurate weighing grain and record in computer system; print and sign scale tickets for all unloaded and loaded grain by truck or rail.
• Responsible for accurately taking samples of all unloaded and loaded grain.
• Keep charts indicating location and contents of storage tanks and bins.
• Complete and accurately monitor grades by weighing grain samples and recording results.
• Operate conveyors, bucket elevators; select flow pipes and storage tanks to convey grain into storage or for load out.
• Prepare rail car for loading; open/close rail car lids using anti-fall harness.
• Operate a forklift.
• Maintain equipment via repair, maintenance, and service; document in web-based maintenance program.
• General housekeeping and upkeep of working area; sweeping, shoveling, vacuum, compressed air, sanitation.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
