Job summary

Bartlett in Wichita, KS is seeking an Elevator Operator for the 2nd shift (2:30pm–10:30pm, Mon-Fri) with overtime as needed. Compensation starts at $23.00 per hour and up.

You will handle grain Receiving, storage, blending, and loading, while keeping facilities safe and clean. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, English literacy, and willingness to travel to Great Bend, KS; Scott City, KS; Healy, KS; Cherryvale, KS; and Towner, CO for train activities and projects.

The Basics

Location: Wichita, KS

Compensation: $23.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 2nd shift, 2:30pm-10:30pm, Mon-Fri with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• Able to travel to Great Bend KS, Scott City KS, Healy KS, Cherryvale KS and Towner CO to assist with train activities, housekeeping and other projects, as needed
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
