Job summary

Bartlett Co. is hiring for Elevator Operators in Sheffield, IL. This second‑shift role (2pm–10:30pm, M‑F) offers generous overtime, with weekends included.

Compensation starts at $21/hr and up. You will work with grain handling equipment to receive, store, dry, blend and load grain while maintaining safe conditions and clean facilities. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to read and follow written/verbal English instructions, reliable transportation, and ability to pass

The Basics

Location: Sheffield, IL

Compensation: $21/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 2nd shift, 2pm-10:30pm, M-F with ample overtime, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands‑on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross‑trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
