Job summary

This role runs 2:45pm–10:45pm, Monday–Friday with ample overtime, including weekends. A High School diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and English comprehension are required.

• Grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain
• Monitor stored grain condition
• Maintain and clean grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for team members
• Cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks

Job description

The Basics

Location: Atchison, KS

Compensation: $23/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 2nd shift, 2:45pm-10:45pm, M-F with ample overtime, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
